Michael H. VanderKolk, M.D.

Michael H. VanderKolk, M.D. is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery.  He has been a practicing surgeon since 1984 in the broad area of general surgery, including cancer surgery, vascular surgery, biliary surgery, gastrointestina l surgery, and soft tissue surgery.

He offers a laparoscopic approach to abdominal surgeries, including hernia repair and bowel resection, as an alternative to open surgery.  He also performs sentinel lymph node biopsies.

The greatest reward as a surgeon is “correcting medical issues early on to prevent greater complications in the future.”
