Richard N. Tooley, M.D.

Richard N. Tooley, M.D. is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery and by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery.  He has been a practicing surgeon since 1995 in the broad area of general surgery, including colon and rectal surgery, breast surgery, pancreatic and biliary conditions, soft tissue surgery, colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, and laparoscopic surgery.

He offers a laparoscopic approach to colon and rectal surgery and nissen fundoplication.  He also performs stapled hemorrhoidopexy as an alternative to an open hemorrhoidectomy, which is a technique that is associated with less postoperative pain and a quicker recovery.

The greatest reward as a surgeon is knowing you can provide health restoring care that can improve the quality and quantity of a patient’s life and establishing lasting relationships with patients.
