Surgical Associates of Traverse City opened its on-site vascular laboratory in 2003. The lab was accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL) in 2007. We sought accreditation with ICAVL to ensure we were providing the highest quality patient care with our noninvasive vascular diagnostic testing.

Timothy Hutton, RVT, is the registered vascular technician that performs all testing in the vascular laboratory at Surgical Associates of Traverse City. He received his credentialing as a registered vascular technician (RVT) in 1984 by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS). The specialty areas within Tim’s RDMS credential include abdomen, obstetrics and gynecology, and adult echocardiography.
